Dessert wines are designed to be sipped in small quantities rather than swallowed in gulps. Good ones are not just sweet; they're intensely flavoured and their taste remains in the mouth for a long time. The Cookoothama does just that and I suspected that its exactly the kind of wine that will convert you you to dessert wines.

The stickies from the Riverina always line up incredibly well - its just the perfect combo of variety and climate. Last year I was lucky enough to judge their local wine show and, fair dinkum, I've only seen more gold medals at the Commonwealth Games.
