Given the family’s passion for food and wine, in 1993 Nugan Estate developed 325 hectares of premium Italian olive varieties at their Cookoothama Vineyard. Now the family has released two premium extra virgin olive oils, which demonstrate Australia can produce quality extra virgin olive which is as good (if not better) as the best imported olive oils.

A blend of premium Italian olive varieties including Corregiola, Leccino, Mission, Frantoio and Pendalino.This magnificent extra virgin olive oil is deliciously buttery with green apple characteristics and a bouquet of fresh mown grass and a very mild pepper finish. Celebrity chef, Stefano Manfredi, gave his stamp of approval, saying: “Above all, extra virgin olive oil has to have good balance between fruit sweetness and bracing pepperiness. It should taste of the fruit it is made from and Nugan Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil does that perfectly”.
